Don’t Wait Too Long

You said you needed time.
He gave you time.
Then more time.
Then more.

Don’t wait too long.
As time ticks on by
He learns with every tick
How to get on without you.

As day turns to night
And night turns to day,
As sunlight fills the
Ever shrinking space
In his heart that misses you
He is slowly moving on.

You said you needed time.
He gave you time.
He used that time as well.
Don’t wait too long
‘Cause when night turn to day
He will be on his way.
